Marilou Poncin (Collaboratif)
Marilou Poncin lives and works in Paris.
As a visual artist, she studied at the Beaux Arts de Lyon, the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, and ENSAD Paris.
Her work explores our fantasies in their encounter with new technologies. Her projects feature camgirls, avatars, love dolls, and influencers: these predominantly female figures populate the digital imagination. Each of the phantasmagorical worlds she explores reveals our individual and collective relationships with the societies in which we live, encompassing tastes, desires, lacks, and prejudices.
Manipulating video installation, photography, painting, and ceramic, her works intersect multiple formats and mediums. Through the enlargement and accumulation of images, the artist reduces the distance between her subjects and the viewers, thereby offering them a tactile experience of the images and bodies.

In 2024, Liquid Love is Full of Ghosts was presented at the Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles as part of the Discovery Award, followed by exhibitions at Galerie Spiaggia Libera and MABA. In 2026, her work is presented at Fondation EDF in Paris and Bozar in Brussels. She is currently developing a new project around the concept of hydrofeminism, rethinking an enhanced bodily connection to nature.
In 2023, she was invited by the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Lyon for her first solo museum exhibition, Perfection is a Lie to Play with. Her work has also been presented at CAC Passerelle in Brest, Frac Île-de-France, La Villette, and Magasins Généraux. A graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Lyon and the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, she launched her career in 2015 with the Inrocks Lab Prize for new video creation. Her work is held in several public and private collections, including the MAC Lyon.
