Room
Summoning the idea of a space or a room of one’s own, as a space of creation without which the work cannot emerge, Room is a collective invitation to occupy a space alone. It is about allowing each person to choose their room and thus inhabit the space that corresponds to them. Each door opens the possibility of immersing oneself in a closed universe before closing it behind them.

Not without evoking the words of Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, whose work raises the question of the room as an immersive installation – “The room, for me, is a natural dimension of art, the first place where one hangs personal or collective things; it is a mental space where one composes an atmosphere.” – the exhibition also engages in a reflection on the act of inhabiting a domestic space.
In this exhibition, narratives overlap without necessarily meeting. The stories multiply within a journey that allows different fictions to emerge, much like a film studio, artificial by definition.
